I have the same same situation. Instantly upon receiving a notification of neglect, the child dies and the grim reaper notification appears asking whether player would like the child to be a playable ghost or free-roaming. First of all, no neglect was happening. Secondly, despite choosing a ghost option, the child simply disappears from the game entirely. I have 4 children in my family (1 teen and 3 kids). So fist child i less in morning. Then i bring a copy this baby from the library. After couple of hours the same situation happened with another kids one by one.
