This is now happening in one of my saves (currently the only one in which I'm playing with children in the family). Two of my triplet children are "whisked away" because of neglect (due to poor grades, though both of them have Cs), and then I immediately get the LD pop-up that they've died and can be playable or freeroaming ghosts. Doesn't matter what I select, they simply disappear and seem to be gone from the game entirely. MCCC can't locate them. Happens even if I take mods out and after I've repaired the game. Super frustrating.
