This just happened to me, I'm glad I'm not alone. The exact same way as well, I'm so glad there's a save recovery option because I accidently saved after it happened.
I kind of bypassed it incase anyone needs help as this literally traumatized me lmao.
- Make sure to save a few hours before it happens.
- Have someone bake a birthday cake.
- Keep resetting them until they are able to blow out the candles and age up.
- Edit them in CAS and age them back down.
It's been a few in game days and so far it hasn't happened again. Also want to add could it have anything to do with the long aging life span? After I changed it it seemed to be happening, but I'm not entirely sure as it could be a coincidence.
