[CoL] Animals stuck/disappeared in inventory (Patch 1.108.318)

I found a workaround for this:

Use the Recover Save option in Saves to load an older save from before your household moved. Sell the cow. Move household. Buy a new cow. 

I wish I knew about this glitch before I moved and I feel bad for people that don't have an older save to recover the cows or llamas. I can't believe we have so many issues with the main features of Cottage Living (both cows/llamas and chickens) and we've been waiting for a fix for 2 years....

I'm having the same problem, I moved my household and the cow got stuck in family inventory. Assigning it to the shed doesn't work, buying a new cow doesn't work either, the game just puts them in the inventory. So now I basically cannot have a cow or a llama on that save anymore....

While moving my household onto another lot, I'm getting the error message "Must be placed on specific objects" while trying to place my cow. I've literally tried placing her everywhere on my lot, including in the shed she was previously in, and a new one. 

I have tried EVERYTHING possible to have a cow or llama again. My Sim used to raise prize winning cows and llamas and then I decided to move the family... and I have never been able to have a cow or llama since. They get stuck in the family inventory and cannot be placed and new ones cannot be placed. 

I have tried: 

to buy new barns

to buy new cows/llamas

to "assign" them to the shed

to move several times

leave the lot and come back

to place them on the lot

NOTHING WORKS. So I just can't ever have cows or llamas again. The chickens somehow work and can be placed from the family inventory.  WHY CAN'T THE COWS OR LLAMAS? FIX THIS!!!!

i can not replace my cow from my inventory in order to feed it or take care of it for the cow festival or after it. it gets stuck in the inventory when putting it there when moving lots and going to the cow festival. i even replaced the shed and bought another cow and i still cant place it or the new cow. 

Animals stuck in inventory, can’t put them back into animal sheds or delete. I have 8 llamas and 3 cows I’d really like to get out of the inventory. 

Add me to the list, here. I have some households that run the animal sheds just fine and just this one that started giving me problems a few months back. 

For context, I don't play with any CC or Mods and have all of the currently available EP's up to the new Adventure one. I play on a PC.

I didn't take them to the fair or move households or anything. Just one day my llama was in the household inventory, starving to death and miserable, and wouldn't come out. I couldn't move it or sell it or anything from the household inventory. I got a second llama to see if that would help, but now I have two starving llamas in my household inventory. The grim reaper just hangs out on my lot full-time waiting for the llamas to die, but they don't die. They just send depressing messages of woe to the family, so everyone is constantly on edge and crying. 

I've tried moving the shed, deleting the shed and buying a new one, the inventory purge cheat (emptying all of my sim's inventories first and they are farmers/crafters so there's a TON in there all told), and nothing! I don't want to move this entire household or bulldoze and start over if I can at all help it - and definitely don't want to go through all of that trouble if it won't even fix things! 

My cow, on the same lot, is fine. As are my chickens and mini sheep and goats, the dog, and the cat. (This is my animal loving household)

Can anyone suggest something? I'm not super tech savvy so if it's anything beyond a simple click and follow the instructions that pop up solution, I'm gonna need detailed instructions. I'm also a rotational player, so I'm not going to do anything that will mess up the rest of my saves just to fix one household.

I hope this finally gets fixed soon, or someone discovers a fix for it, because I miss playing this household a lot. :( 

I have no mods or cc and this has kept happening to me, for both llamas and cows, and even if i purchase a new one it gets stuck in my inventory and is not placed in the house. I can only get animals in the house if I am downloading a house form the gallery that already has an animal placed.

I'm having this issue. I had a normally behaving cow die, then I bought a new one using the option from the shed. It did not appear in the shed, nor either of the inventories, but the shed behaved as if it was occupied. I reloaded the game and the cow appeared in the household inventory. The shed allowed me to assign the cow, but she was not moved from the household inventory to the shed, and the shed again started to behave as if it was occupied. I tried buying an additional shed and assigning the cow to it, but the same thing happened as with the first one so I had multiple sheds behaving as if occupied by the single same cow. I tried selling them all too and getting a new one but this didn't fix the issue either. I can't sell or move the cow from the household inventory so she is stuck there.

whenever you move household from 1 lot to another if you have a cow or llama they go into your householf inventory and then they live there forever and theyre stuck and the barn becomes unusable and you can't get thsm back
