Gnomes in my yard continually and excessively leave presents on the ground around them: seed packets, upgrade parts, oversized crop seeds and fertilizers, and little debug plants that don't grow into...

[COL] Excessive gnome gifts

crinrict Yes, they just spawn those things while sitting around. I got them from making them on the woodworking table and from previous harvestfests. And I've never used mods or cc on this particular save.
MapleSimmer Yes I do have cottage living and I have befriended Agatha. So that might be it! I had deleted all the gnomes off my lot since this got annoying but I'm adding them back in from the store to see if I can catch Agatha doing this.

Kamricorn I remember being very surprised that my gnomes were moving around (this was shortly after Cottage Living came out) since it wasn't a holiday with the gnome tradition. I think I may have researched it and found the connection to Agatha so I invited her back over and watched her and saw her go interact with the gnomes while visiting and then it happened again (the gnomes moving around and dropping gifts). Though Agatha doesn't always interact with the gnomes when visiting, so it doesn't always happen but I think it happens more often than it doesn't.
I do find the gnomes eventually stop moving and dropping the 'gifts', and has been my experience when I've recently had it happen (I actually purposely befriend her and invite her over to get the gifts, though the debug mushrooms are pretty useless!). I had never tried putting them into my sims' personal inventory, but I know when I do that with the appeased 'Harvestfest' gnomes they never stopped dropping seed packets into the family inventory until I remove them (and either sell them or have another holiday with the gnome tradition, you can manually add that to any holiday, it doesn't just have to be Harvestfest), so perhaps the same thing happens here?
Best regards,
Jennifer
