The Gnome from the Cottage Living Early Purchase Bonus is showing as being available to be crafted even for people who don't own these bonus items. At the end of crafting, Sim abandons the project, and the only interaction available is 'scrap'. Crafting this gnome is obviously unsuccessful.

I went to have my sim make a gnome at the woodworking table and chose this "onward" gnome. My sim did not finish it, left materials on the table, and I couldn't finish it. It would allow me to create other gnomes. First try I had mods and cheats on. I turned cheats off and tried again. It didn't work. I turned off the game, removed one mod (just settings from BBB but the main mod was already out previously), came back, tried again, no gnome again. Went back and removed all mods (MCCC, UI cheats) and tried again. Still no gnome at the end after trying to craft. Turned off the game, started a new save with no mods or cheats on. Tried both the original and reclaimed woodworking tables in most of these attempts. The new save behaved the same way.
My video of the new save won't upload. It is 71 mb and it won't allow it. But you can see what happens in this first video and that is what happens each time.

The symptoms sounds similar like that other thread.

I have cottage living, but not the preorder stuff. I bet that is the issue, the gnome doesn't actually exist in my game!
Yes, this is the issue indeed. I wish the team used that opportunity to unlock Cottage Living early purchase bonuses for us all. 😄
I should own the bonus items (but I still can't buy the "Onwards gnome") And I experience the same issue when attempting to craft it. The sim stop at the very end of the task-cycle and all you can do from there is to "scrap project". So not even people who SHOULD have the bonus item can craft this gnome.
Edit: I see people talking about the gnome being a Cottage Living Perorder item, if that's the case it should either be removed from the list or come with a tooltip that states that it requires CL Preorder - not to waste peoples time.
I’m experiencing the same problem. Why offer it, and waste simoleons, if it can’t be done? I own every expansion, kit, etc. The only thing I don’t have is this pre-order bonus for Cottage Living. This is a gross oversight and unfair. Especially now that they’ve started revoking items from the gallery, like the final freezer bunny from the grim rewards event. It was the fault of EA for the event breaking and not being fixed. Yet we all get incomplete collections now? How much money are we meant to spend on an ever expanding game that never goes back to correct their own errors? Have they no pride in their work? Also, does EA check these? Or is this just a forum by players that can’t spur change directly? Because direct customer support has vanished.
