Lags after trying to cook

Is it the interaction menu coming up slow that triggers the issue ?

Hello ! 

For about 1 month, when my Sims cook, there is a very long time between the moment I choose the dish and the moment the game resumes. 

In order: I click on the stove or the fridge, I click on "cook" then I choose what I want to cook (during this whole process, no bug, no slowness). From the moment the "dish selection" window closes, my game puts itself on pause by itself, and there I have to wait long seconds before my game resumes (it goes back to play by itself).

• Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.
