So, I am building right now and my ceiling is just gone? According to the yellow line, it says I have a ceiling, but you can clearly see there's no ceiling.
I have to remove the ceiling and build it again for it to be a closed off room.
Yes, I do have mods, but I have the same issue without mods.

I got it especially if I do several rooms together and especially when I worked with the tool to make rooms directly instead of adding a wall and then another until I had a room. But sometimes I get the ceiling working when I add the roof.

After the patch, when I build, there is no ceiling on top of the room. When I press on the room, it says “remove ceiling” even though there’s no ceiling. I press it anyway, and then click again and press “build ceiling” and the ceiling shows up. However, when trying to create a loft or larger cut out around stairs, this option does not work, it will remove the entire ceiling instead, not allowing for a simple cutout for a loft, etc…

If I use the wall tool or the room tool ceilings will not show up. Sometimes the yellow line that will allow me to remove the ceiling (even though I can't see it) and then add it and it will show up. But most of the time it will not have the yellow line show up and I have no way to add in the ceiling.
Also, even on the rooms that tell me they have a ceiling with the yellow line I can't place roofs on there. I removed all mods and cc and this is still as issue.
When making a room on any lot (as it seems) the any rooms of a certain size, not sure the exact size, but it seems to be larger rooms, will spawn as if the don't have a ceiling. when I go to click the top of the room to place a ceiling, I have to remove the non-existent ceiling to place a new one.

I'm a console player (ps5) and it happens there as well. No ceiling is placed when the room is placed, but if you select it is appears "remove ceiling". But there's no ceiling to be removed and be placed back on. Weird.

I can't seem to figure out how to fix my basement, I just finished a new build and it was going just fine until one time when I went up a level from the cool basement I just worked hard on to the ground level an the main room of the basement, not all of them, is completely visible in the back yard as if the basement room has no ceiling . I have tried MANY things to try to fix it but nothing has worked, so far I tried tracing the rooms walls with the build tool in hopes of it adding the ceiling back, obviously restarting the game, using the rise foundation arrow to lower the room (which btw is also glitched, now I can't lift it back up an there's a layer of dirt going down to it like a lake that hasn't been filled with water) , my room including the use of half walls so I'd have to save the room in 3 sections and put them back together like Legos or just delete the entire room and build it again from scratch. (I have no Mods or CC)

Update after mid-august patch, roof error persists. Console player, no mods/CC. Builds don't save to library either.

I’m having the same issue, as long as the basement is directly below the main building it’s fine but I tried extending the basement and it raised the ground around the foundation and showed partially outside with no ceiling causing the lighting to be super bright and the rain, snow etc to be inside. I’ve had to make a second level basement below the first level basement and add a long set of stairs to get down there. It’s pretty frustrating to have had happen to the gym I just built at the high school
