Hey crinrict - In regards to your last comment:
"I found some information in the Sims After Dark discord on this error: do you have any banquet tables in your restaurant ? Are there still any plates and stuff that weren't cleaned up when you left ? You should be able to load the lot in build mode and remove all that."
I checked over the restaurant and there was no plates, as well no banquet tables. I deleted the old restaurant all together and made a new one with just very basic functions (everything found in the requirements settings for the restaurant plot - tables, toilet, sink, host station, waiter station, etc).. I got the same pop up after trying to get my sim to visit. I still have a huge hunch, this goes hand in hand with the For Rent pack, as that was what initially started the problem. For some reason it was really hard for me to bulldoze the rental lot, and when I went to change the lot from "Rental" to "Restaurant" it would immediately go back to "Rental". I refreshed the game and that was when it finally changed to a restaurant but since then I've come across all of these problems.
