On PC/Steam, double beds will only retain one assigned Sim at a time.
If I assign Sim A to the right side of the bed, that assignment appears correctly. If I then assign Sim B to the left side, Sim A’s assignment disappears and only Sim B remains assigned.
This prevents two Sims from being assigned to the same double bed normally.
I have tested multiple double beds and also tested the issue in a brand-new save. I reproduced the problem with mods disabled. I deleted localthumbcache.package and verified the integrity of the game files through Steam. Steam reported that all files validated successfully.
The issue still occurs.
This appears very similar to the previously reported double-bed ownership/assignment bug that was marked fixed in May 2026. It may have regressed in a later update.
