I have also had this problem and can't figure out how to vote it up. It keeps happening anytime my Sims paint a canvas from Reference. All other paintings seem to be okay so far.
You can't currently upvote this as there's missing information in this thread that needs to be provided first. The current status of this issue doesn't allow upvoting.
