[DU] Computer science classified under mischief

Reporting as this has now happened in more than one save file - when enrolling for the second term or beyond, the first two core subject classes will get classified under the Mischief skill, rather than the actual skill for the degree. It doesn't seem to impact any of the elective classes. Most recent example was a sim enrolled in a Computer Science degree at Foxbury. I don't use any mods or CC.

  • Hi Ouisey

is it always mischief and do you see any other influence than the icon (aka is it just an issue with the icon or is mischief actually involved with the class) ?

Hi crinrict  - it always seems to be the mischief skill. If I go ahead with signing up to the classes, doing the homework/attending classes builds the mischief skill rather than the core skill. I'm pretty sure my earlier save also seemed to be an issue with Comp Sci > Mischief.

  • Does it matter if it's computer science or do other classes also do this ?

Just tested in the save to see, and it doesn't seem to be an issue with the other core degree classes (although I used the same save to switch degrees, which may have had an impact). The right skill also appeared to be applied when I selected programming as an elective class, as well as the other elective classes when I was still in the computer science degree.

    Hi Ouisey

    thanks for testing.

I've adjusted title to make it about mischief/computer science for now until there's other reports saying that other degrees/skills are affected.

To add a second data point:

I currently have a group of 4 friend sims attending Foxbury together and they just started their second week. All have 3 classes, 2 in their degree and 1 elective (because I'm not wrangling 4 classes a week for 4 sims). One of them is in the computer science degree. Applied Network Security is classed as Mischief and doing homework for it is in fact building the mischief skill. He's also in The Mathematics of 3-D Space, which is correctly classified under Robotics, and his elective is correctly classified as Charisma. The other three are in Physics, Language and Lit, and Fine Arts and their classes are all fine.

I'm playing on PC and have Discover University, Cats and Dogs, and Seasons, and I do have a little bit of CAS CC.
