[DU] [HSY] Issues with Cafeteria workers at Uni & School

Last night after posting the above, I came across a few dozen posts in Answers HQ that reported the same problems with Uni/High School Cafeteria workers not showing up. At least one person posted that it started happening when the Reaper Event launched. This is when my problems started too as it was a new Sim in a new game I created specifically for the Reaper Event.

This morning I did some testing and this is what I found:
I created a new game with a new Sim, sent her to Darby's Den - it worked fine.
I dropped the new Sim into the broken game - no Cafeteria worker.
I then dropped my Sim from the broken game into the new game - Darby's Den worked fine (Cafeteria worker and students showed up normally).

So - it's that saved game that's broken (not the Sim) and it looks like the Reaper Event caused this. Is there any way this can be fixed? Are they working on it? 

I'm now worried about loading my saves that preceded the Reaper Event, including a Legacy I've kept going for years, at least until they fix this. If they fix this. And I'm very leery about playing any more Events - which is too bad because as a Sims player since the first day the Sims 1 launched, I was looking forward to the retro fun.

This has been happening long ago like few months ago and I already report at the ea answer. Before ea even come up with a patch few days after posting on ea answer instead of the cafeteria spawning when you arrive, the cafeteria would be waiting at the station. Somehow I thought they fixed it. That time was when my sims were in Foxbury. Today I sent another sim to Uni but to Ubrite and same issue happen again when I posted on ea answer. When you arrive at the commonds Ubrite, about 7-8 sims spawn all together. However the cafeteria doesn't appear doesn't spawn or waiting at the station.

Seems like it's  only happening in Ubrite commons

I just had a Sim go to UBrite and this happened. Since he was broke, the lack of a cafeteria worker most days was very felt. 😣 
As LascusClyne noted, there were some days when several Sims spawned together when my Sim traveled to Derby’s Den — no cafeteria worker, though. Other days, the place was utterly deserted all day long and my Sim was the only one there.

I think I have a solution to this problem: I changed the maximum number of sims from 80 to 200 and somehow since then Cafeteria Workers seem to spawn everytime. You have to wait a whole game day (or restart the game) for them to spawn, I think the game needs some time to adjust. But that seems to fix the problem, lmk if that worked for you.

Thank you for the suggestion. I actually did try this a few weeks ago but it didn't help - same problem but again - only with Ubrite Commons. Foxbury still worked/works fine.

I can work on sending a save via Google Drive (I don't use One Drive) but in the meantime I have found and am testing a possible workaround for the Ubrite Commons cafeteria problem: 
1) In Darby's Den build mode, change the Lot Type to Foxbury Commons. You can do this from the Neighbourhood screen or better yet in Live Mode when your Sim is on the lot.
2) Add the required Foxbury items (2 Robotics Stations & enough computers to bring it to four). Save.
3) Go into Live mode, send a Sim if you haven't already; the worker will show up and the food station functions normally. S/he'll be a Foxbury Vendor.
4) Change the Lot Type back to Ubrite Commons and save. 
If you do this while your Sim is at Darby's  you'll see the Foxbury Vendor leave and the Ubrite Vendor arrive. 
If you do this between food service hours the Ubrite vendor will show up at the correct time.

Note: I am still testing this but it's been working consistently for me for about a week. My sim is no longer a student but I have her drop into Darby's Den often to see if it's still working right. So far, so good.
Try this and hopefully your Britechester U students should be able to eat for free until EA come up with a fix.

This also seems to fix the problem with either too many Sims showing up all at once or a completely deserted Ubrite Commons. The students now generate on the lot normally..

Thank you so much!!! This has been bugging me for so long! Alot of what I found online was blaming mods but I've been playing on Xbox. Changing the amount of Sims didn't work for me but your steps of changing lot type to foxbury and back again has. Hopefully they'll fix it eventually in case it happens again but thankful to have seen this work around.

Glad it's working for you too! I test it pretty much daily and it's still working okay. :)
