[DU] Sims won't go to work (Sims able to drop out of Uni although not at Uni)

Sims won't go to work. Countdown to start of work shift hits 0 and then 'Happening Now' appears, but gives no option to go to work. No hour-warning pop up appears either. I am able to do the Daily...

There's still a rabbithole option, where the Sim can go to work from 8-5 usually. I don't get the option to choose an hour in advance like normal.
