When selecting "capture information" for uni presentations, the sim will approach the presentation board but is unable to complete the function.

My sims in university get posterboards for presentations, and for each semester "Capture Information" is available but sims will approach the board and immediately cancel the action. Thus, sims are never able to give their final presentation.
Specifically, this is happening in the Britechester Fine Art Degree Track for Course "There's an Aperture for That".
I have worked around it by having them do their homework, study for exam, attend class on time, and also the Royalty and Legacy Enlightenment Decree gives a great boost to performance. But it is a very obvious problem and disrupts gameplay flow.
The solution I have found to circumvent this issue was to have the sims live in the respective dorms. If your sims live in Ondarion (Royalty and Legacy) they will be unable to work on the poster board at all. However, I found success for both foxbury and britchester students by having them move into the dorms the next semester.
