sparkersims​ Tbh, from your description, I'm not sure exactly what you are reporting.  So, what I think you are saying is that none of the sims that you made members of the club have moved into the student housing venue as roommates and you can't ask any of them to be a roommate and move in.  Is this correct?

I don't think what you are trying to do will work.  The game creates the NPC dormmates as needed at the beginning of each term.  Usually, they won't be the same two terms in a row either.  The player has no control over which sims will be used as dormmates in the student housing venue, as the game assigns the NPC students to the venue.  The player can't do that, and you won't get the ask to be roommate option when your sim lives in that venue either.  Your sim has to be living in one of the other residential venues for any of the roommate options to show up on your sim's menu.  And none of those sims you can ask to be a roommate will be a university student.  

Club membership has no effect on which sims move into a venue either.  If you want NPC dormmates to be a member of a club with your sim, then you need to let the game move the NPC in, then ask the NPC to join the club.
