LPT: don't play with lifespans on short unless you want your sim constantly yo-yo-ing into extremely unbalanced and getting ailments constantly from random acquaintances passing.
Yeah, it's insane...
Not a totally serious advice: just play the 100 baby challenge, because getting a child increases balance a lot. That probably wasn't a real life parent who thought it fitting that having a newborn makes one feel more balanced...
