I have also experienced this issue after getting the new pack. Also, gnomes appear even though my sims hasn't enchanted any plants or items in game. Also, there's no pack integration with the Spa day pack. My sim was imbalanced and I had her use the yoga mat from Spa Day and it didn't do anything to improve her imbalance. It's disappointing that the only way to achieve balance is by using the meditation from the new pack.
