This is the most annoying and obnoxious, game mechanic in terms of the daily frequency despite turning luck and balance off. The visuals are also extremely disruptive considering that we purchase thousands of dollars worth of CAS from other packs to customize appearances, for it to then be essentially ruined with some crazy, bright color paint effect.
I would much prefer a once or twice a sims year frequency, and for there to be no visual effect so you need to deduce what an ailment actually is from observed behavior or symptoms, or to deduce when asking sims questions in a diagnostic process.
Having the visuals so obvious makes diagnosing sims through dialogue boxes pointless busy work. There is no need and no fun in that “gameplay” mechanic because it has no logic. Lilsimsie cited this logical flaw in her review and she’s right: it’s very frustrating and extremely annoying.
In the least, having an option to turn off the visuals would be much preferred if turning down the frequency or turning the system off is difficult to change in terms of the code and with the elixir game mechanics.
Again, buying so many packs and spending so much time in CAS for all that hard work and time to be ruined with highly incessant and disruptive ailment visuals makes me want to uninstall the pack and question my future purchases.
It would be so fantastic if it were possible to turn off all features of a pack and still get access to BB & CAS somehow. I really hope this issue can be resolved because it’s so upsetting and so irritating!
