My sim catches fire almost everytime she cooks! She has skill and a great stove! Hard to play with SOOOOOOOOOO many problems in game these days!!!

Hey Crin,
I am here because this was annoying me. I play with and without mods. I pulled in my skilled simself for this EP and did not know why all of a sudden started having fires. She found the Freezer Bunny Foot and her luck was great. She had to rekindle it with fairy dust but that only worked for a while. First thing my sims always do is upgrade everything in the house and plant a garden, regardless of the sim I am playing. But this was getting really bad and my sim resorted to getting her meals out of the microwave.
But yes, disabling Luck in the pack settings options worked for me with/without mods.
