My sim catches fire almost everytime she cooks! She has skill and a great stove! Hard to play with SOOOOOOOOOO many problems in game these days!!!

If you have the new Enchanted By Nature pack, this might be related to your Sim having bad luck or being 'imbalanced'... Go into Settings (3 little dots on top-right) > Game Options > Pack Settings, scroll to find 'Enchanted by Nature' and turn off the following:
Frankly you shouldn't have to do this... But here we are.
