I might test your theory out too. I don't have strangeville, but my sims were throwing up after drinking a perfect batch of fizz based in garden produce. It was made using the ECO makers lot fizzing station. I'm on Mac and I feel like I've gotten a few different moodlets with consuming a few drinks recently. I'm terrible at documenting until I have too. 🫠

After my sim has drank wine or a alcohol beverage they become dazed but act like they are infected by the "Mother". I find this really odd and disturbing. Definitely shouldn't be like that. He can't even just socially drink with out looking like a total freak.

Same here. My legacy Sim has a nectar cellar and every time someone in the family drinks nectar, they get a weird “suspicious fizz” noodles and behave like they’re possessed by the mother plant in Strangerville. No mods installed. No CC. It’s quite annoying.

My sims got the suspicious fizzy drink moodlet from drinking a finely aged excellent grape nectar and they both started throwing up and had to get to a bathroom quickly.

I hate this bug so much. I started a new save and had my sim order her favorite drink to find out what it was. Apple Nectar. I couldn't let her drink it because I didn't want her to be possessed and/or throwing up everywhere for the next several in-game hours. Haven't played my favorite vampire save since the bug started because one of them is skill maxed at nectar making and the rest of the fang fam drinks her plasma nectar a lot. Haven't wanted to send my sims on dates because strawberry nectar is my go-to for getting them in a flirty mood if the repeated romantic interactions aren't doing the trick, obviously that just ruins dates now. I've thought about disabling EcoLiving and Strangerville to see if that fixes the problem with nectar, but I shouldn't have to remove content I paid for just to fix other content I paid for.
Next laundry list with this on it when?

My sims keep getting this "suspicious fizz" moodlet and throws up. This is only from the nectar that was introduced in Horse Ranch and the juice from the fizzing machine, not from the original drinks from the Dine Out pack. I also get the weird "possessed" walk for a couple minutes.
It really sucks if you want to make juice and nectar...
PC- I have no Mods

I was so confused when my sim puked on the floor. Every time they drink wine, suspicious fizz mood, infected walk and puke. How annoying, it’s my sims favorite drink too lol.

Dam i was just thinking can I get rid of strangerville to stop this because im so over it 99% of what I play involves nectar. Literally just waiting for this to be resolved.
