[ECO] Fridge found while dumpster diving turns into ashes when repairing

My sim has been dumpster diving.  She repaired 3 fridges that she found.  Robin Banks stole one.  The other two broke in the rain.  Now, my sim cannot repair them anymore.  When I click on them I get the option to “repair” or “use” and that is it.  However, when I try to repair, it will make the pile of trash, but the fridge won’t be fixed.  This is on a brand new save (post 11/ 4) update and never touched by mods.
