[ECO] 'Recycle from inventory' Not Working

Since the most recent patch, we can no longer use the recycling machine to recycle objects to gain bits and pieces. The interaction doesn't work.

  • HI KingJA_1992

could you give some more details how the interaction doesn't work ? Are you not getting bit/pieces ? Is the interaction not availble ?

Did you test multiple saves ? Try replacing the machine ?

This is a new save created after the most recent patch. Selecting the "Recycle from inventory" interaction doesn't work. I've tried several machines on different lot types to no avail.

i think this is tied to the issue with the garbage dragging bug. it doesn’t work on the ones pre placed in evergreen harbor lots. the recycle from inventory doesn’t bring up the inventory menu.

  • I'm having the same problem. When I try clicking "Recycle from Inventory" on the recycler, the usual menu doesn't come up, and my Sim doesn't queue up the recycling behavior.

I found with my usual convenience mods in place, I got an exception instead of the Sim behavior I wanted. Here's what Better Exceptions had to say about it:

    Possible Cause

    (Confidence: 10%)

    state
ReasonException in Unknown timeline: Exception running Element (AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'linked_stat')

Better exceptions did not suggest any possible mods that could be causing the exception.

I also tried with all mods disabled, and got the same behavior, but of course no exception report.

I tried deleting and replacing the recycler. That didn't help. I tried going through my household inventory looking for bugged inventory, no clear red flags I could see.

I also tried with all the members of my household, and none of them could recycle.
