When building a sunken platform in the underground level, the grey edge of the sunken platform keeps appearing. Please see attached picture, thanks.

I tested and found the same thing. But it seems tied to the camera angle. It flickers in and out as you rotate the camera around the sunken platform. So, from some angles, you can't see it and other angles, you can. Lots of flickering when you move from angle to angle.

well, yes and no. Depending on the camera angle, either the platform edge or the floor texture is rendered on top on a specific point (on the floor) from a specific point of view. When you move the camera, the platform edge and flooring sort of "fight" each other, switching constantly what is shown (rendered) on top, causing the flicker we see.
You can "see it" from every angle, it just varies how, err.. disturbing the end result of this "fight" is.
