Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?

- Delete the ones you have
- Trigger the error again
- Check if new ones are created
- If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.

Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting. 

It happened after updating the game. After selecting the "new game" option, I started over and created a new sim. I placed the sim somewhere, and when I tried to play the game, it gave me an error code. When I tried to play with any family, it gave me an error code every time. How can I solve this problem?

Same problem after the update. I wish they would just stop updating and screw up my game!

did you get a chance to test this with no mods/cc ?

Please test your issue on a vanilla game

To verify on a vanilla game, move your mods folder to the desktop and delete the following files from your user folder.

-  localthumbcache
-  Any lastException Files
-  Any LastCrash files.

Test a backup of your save as you will loose all cc on the save and see if the same error occurs, then report back.
