My sim keeps trying to light the fireplace when it is on auto light. I have four fireplaces in the house so he just goes to one room to another and keeps trying to light them. He even stops what he is doing sometimes like taking a bath, watching tv, or raising his skill level just to go try and light the fireplace, again that on auto light! lol

This really only happens in my households when it is cold outside. But it is exasperating because all of the fireplaces are fully upgraded and set to auto light when sims enter the room. Can you please make it so that when auto light is turned on, manual lighting of the fireplace becomes unavailable? And if auto light is ever turned off, then manual lighting would become available once again. Seems like this would be the best fix for this problem to me.
My sim here is a vampire and so she can move very fast and it is absolutely bananas right now. There are four fireplaces in her house and she is just zooming around lighting them all and as you can see in this screenshot, she is lighting one and already set to go light another.

It's summertime in my game and the thermometer is full red and someone is still lighting the fireplace just because. I use them mostly for decoration. I could understand during winter, but why are sims lighting fires during hot weather? they seem to be lighting fireplaces all the time and it's enough to want to not put them in my home at all.
to reiterate, my sims aren't trying to light a fire place thats already lit with autolight. sims are simply lighting fireplaces on their own accord far to often or during inappropriate times.

But my one sim just literally walks back and forth from fireplace to fireplace to enjoy them... I'm so grateful for the auto-light upgrade..so they don't constantly burn the house down.....but do they have to obsess over them.....

Can sims at least get limited to autonomous lighting only during cold weather?
I had a spellcaster almost die because she kept lighting fireplaces and warming herself in the middle of a summer heatwave.
Even better if sims can also stop trying light the upgraded auto-light fireplaces.
That won't help the base game problem tho
