Am I reading this correctly or my assumptions was right and you are rebuilding animations to pretend this issue is fixed? This is NOT fixing the root cause by doing so and I would not accept after almost two years to have this issue "fixed" this way. This is unnaceptable.
Not only this is adding unnecessary more work to your animators, but also it's not going to be productive at all. The custom animations and poses will stay with the issue and not be fixed aswell by doing so.
And before you ask, yes I already do this kind of bad "workaround" with this bug with my own animations by exaggerating eyelids translation bones like in the example from the main post, but I SHOULDN'T have to do it, so are your animators.
Of course I can see why it's difficult "fixing" (please notice the emphasis with the quotation marks) if this is the approach you are doing, honestly.
Please, unless I'm wrong and "animations assets" means something else, then enlighten me why are you chosing this approach instead of fixing the source of the problem.
Thank you for the update nonetheless and for the others fixes, especially adding changelogs for modders that will be extremely useful.
I find it very stubborn of whoever decides what the animators are supposed to do, to make them dig a deeper hole, when they should stop digging, get out of the hole, and fill the hole up.
The dirt they're digging in represents the thousands of animations they'd have to "fix", the hole represents the animations they've "fixed", getting out of the hole represents reverting the changes of the animations that they've "fixed", and filling up the hole represents making the eyelashes fit the eyes instead of making the eyes fit the eyelashes.
