Failed to launch error/Fully Black Screen when using CC

This is so sad, it definitely ruined my weekend.

its so annoying that they wont fix this at all and i thought i was going insane when it still isnt working 

Absolutely nothing is working. Theres zero reasoning I (or anyone here really) can figure out whats going on.  I've done so much testing on my own and its just completely random. Ive made new sims files, put in 10 pieces of confirmed safe CC, and the game will be fine. But after I close, when I try and reopen it without changing or adding files, the game is completely broken and won't even launch. I've tried this with script mods as well, with the same results. I'm done playing detective because EA has the issue and not my files. 

Don't bother. I sent EA my sims folder for a different bug a couple of years ago and they never responded

Can we know why this isnt being addressed? Even if yall dont know whats causing it, just tell us you hear us and see us and its being looked into. ATP I've givin up trying to fix what you broke and risk harming my own computer, or doing unnecessary damage to my game trying to do what yall actually get paid for. I've made peace with the fact this game is broken, I just want some acknowledgement from the official Sims team. Its been 3 days

My theory is because this is such a random occuring error (something I have never encountered before after an update), meaning the game loads sometimes and other times it doesn't, is that it's probably affecting a lot more people who play with CC and just haven't noticed yet because it hasn't happened for them yet. Because some people had it happen right away and have been used to doing tests after updates, they are noticing it because they're trying to start up the game a lot more. If you read through the comments a lot of people have been trying workarounds that work for a while and then don't, because I truly believe this is a change that happened to due the update and how the game is now reading CC files, and is not something that can be fixed by changing folder names, the resource file, localthumbcache, etc. Believe me I tried it all.

Since the game occasionally works even with a modified Resource.cfg, it doesn’t seem to be the main cause of the issue.

I agree, im done struggling. I'll send my electronic arts folder once it takes HOURS to upload to the drive so I can share it but other than that i refuse to do anything else. everything was working fine and this is EA's issue not ours. Some people are having this problem and some aren't? I'm going to take a wild guess and say majority of those its working for are having to mess around to get it to work the way it should OR they are still playing in offline mode without the new update. I should have done that. 

Yes!! AND it’s almost guaranteed not to load if you have all of your mods in. It’s so frustrating!!
