Failed to launch error/Fully Black Screen when using CC

I wouldn't update and would continue monitoring the forums until things are fixed. There was a CC issue after the March 17 patch that was supposedly fixed in a March 18 hot patch, but there is another, worse issue, preventing the game from launching at all. That one seems somewhat widespread, enough that you shouldn't chance it, and is effecting both cc and vanilla users, even after installs. Some are able to fix things after excessive effort, others do the same steps and nothing works. There's supposed to be an update this coming week, but I wouldn't trust it until people have had a chance to try it and see if it fixes things. 

I was iffy about the marketplace to begin with. And your roll out breaks the game. Not our Mods or CC the game. There is something fundemtally wrong with EA. I love that I've spent over $500 over the years. Just to not be able to play. But then again, EA was nice enough to post that we asked for this. No EA none of us did. You made a game unbreakable, for capitalist reasons. Who ever is in charge, how do they still have a job. Oh and it's been 3 days, and still can't load in. But I'm sure this patch will try to fix everything but the error.

When I first encountered this same error all I had to do was a fresh install of the game and point the installation folder of the EA desktop application in the same structure of the installation. This new script mod disable contest EA has with other developers like **bleep** is a whole other monster.

If I have mods and cc in my mods folder, my game will not open. I tried getting my game to open yesterday, and because it refused, I decided to uninstall the entire game and sacrifice all of my save files, mods, and cc that I had built up for months. I reinstalled the game fresh before adding mods and cc. I opened it up to see if it would work with nothing in the folder, and it opened, so I spent all day ensuring all the mods and the cc I was downloading into my mods folder was updated, working, and without bugs before adding them into the mods folder and launching up the game. 
The game won't launch at all. I removed specific mods, removed specific cc folders trying to see if it is tied to something specific, but if anything is in that folder it will not open no matter what it is. I have no clue what to try outside of what I have already done. I am very irritated because I love being able to mod and add cc in my game. It is not as fun to play without them. 

Heya, for the third step, do we not copy the subfolders of mods/CCs inside the Mods folder?

Not only is mine not loading, when it tries it take over 30 minutes. Without mods now! 

Im taking them saying "early next week" as in Monday. I hope I wake up to my game saying "update available" 

 I feel the exact same way as you about everything. Seeing how people are still confused about what is causing this issue because EA refuses to take responsibility for this huge mistake and labelling it a "bug" gives me no confidence they are going to actually fix the problem next week, just like the last patch that they claimed "fixed" everything. When you hear a large portion of your players can not even play the game they paid for the obvious reaction should have been to offer a rollback to previous version while they sort this out. 

even the ea app is rebelling at the game, i've been using -dx09 in the propertis to do a soft reset to get the game running. put it in take it out, leave it in or out. community content makes game interesting, without it lod is back at 2015. i have 99 addons and the gane is still boring

Still having issues with this - Before I learnt that it wasn't a singular cc/mod issue, I filtered through all my cc and did the 50/50 method. Turns out that my game will only open with half of the cc (opens with both halves separately but not together). Even when it opens with the cc in, I still get issues and the game cannot launch popup a few times before it opens. Any advice?? I'm totally stuck.
