Reading the explanation of the Basket, the kind of items can put in is limited, so other collectables can't.
But if there is the both of the other Storage Box -not be able to put in inventory type one - and Mysterious Basket in the house, the items in Storage Box appear in Mysterious Basket as being there.
And if you try to put the basket into your inventory while the items still appear in the basket, you can't put Mysterious Basket in Sim's inventory, and after that, you can no longer put in inventory the basket even if you put out the items from the Storage Box. 'Put in inventory' disappears from Pie menu when clicking Mysterious Basket and also cliking 'Place in World' pie menu does not work (request failer).
Now I'm playing with only BG+FR EP, so I don't test on the another type - like ECO's Sticker Storage Box - Storage Box.
The following lE is that I tested yesterday, so it's newest one.
I repeated to let my Sim same action a few times for taking pics, so it's a little longer.
