same thing. if you buy a new one, then everything is ok. If you cook food in it at least once, it will always have a green smell cloud.

Honestly at this point I don’t even use it which is sad since it has its own recipes that my sims can’t cook now bc it’s so annoying to me

I'm also experiencing a bug that when its in storage, after a while it shows up as rotten food as if its coded to have decay in it.
This is what I'm experiencing. When I have the rice cooker on the counter, it looks okay (as of right now), but when I place it in personal inventory (my sim will cook excessively if I leave it on the counter), it turns "rotten" after a little while even though it's completely empty.

If I leave it on the counter, it turns green now (never mind the second bug, being sabotage with no mischief skill. sigh - yes I've upvoted this bug too)
And a third bug (reported elsewhere and I've upvoted) is that this is my 2nd rice cooker, as the 1st disappeared when I switched households and back with it in my main sim's personal inventory
This is all on a new PC save, no mods/CC

All pressure cookers and all kettles have this issue, where they end up decaying to cause the Uncomfortable moodlet without them being possible to clean. This includes the new kettle from the Adventure Awaits Preorder. This bug is several years old now. Will it ever be fixed? I don't understand why we are given a new kettle just for it to still be broken.
Game is run through Steam, with some of the Packs being loaded through the EA App, but even when running just through the EA App, the issue persists. All files have been reset and verified. No mods/cc of any kind installed at the moment.

Yes, I have this issue with the pressure cooker too, it's a pain. Even though I have had my sim upgrade them to auto clean, they still keep being dirty and emitting a green vapour. I have stopped using them which is a shame as it's a great item

I have this bug too. If I move the pressure cooker then the smell disappears but it returns soon after.

All my Sims (always) smell bad odor's in kitchen no matter what family I use or kitchen. They are all clean. It's really obnoxious at this point. My Sims have cleaned trash out, dishes, floors, and refrigerator. Help!
