[FR] No/ too low rent/lease period when playing as tenant

I have this currently. My bills were a whole two dollars, I paid them, then I get the landlord on me about paying the rent but there’s no option to do so anywhere. Now he’s coming for my stuff… I’ll just delete him when he comes I guess, what else can I do with an issue that has apparently been going on for two years with no fix?💀

I think I found the problem why my bills are 0$ for rent.
I think the problem is Panya Li, the original landlord. I tried changing that person and it's working for now!
I know you can't kill him, he's immortal, but I just picked a Sim bought the apartment, and there you go. It's a long process, sure, but it works!

Having the same issue, it started out of nowhere. I was able to play as a tenant for over 10 hours (different sessions) just fine, I am 100% sure I DID have the option to pay rent before, but all of a sudden started getting notifications that I was behind on rent, with no option on the phone, mailbox or computer anymore to pay rent.

I have tried to switch landlords from NPC to a playable character but that did not solve it. I play on xbox.

This is still an issue in the game for me and the workarounds don't work :(

I'm having the issue where I keep getting notifications that rent is due, but there's no way to pay it - neither on the mailbox nor by inviting Panya Li, the landlord, over and clicking the Rental interaction to pay him. I tried adding him to the family then removing him, but now the Rental interaction option doesn't show up at all. I did try using cheats to off him, but it just killed my active sim instead. 

I don't have any mods at all. I've been able to pay rent on other rental units before when a Sim I played as owned it, but not Panya Li. There's something wrong with that dude... 

I have something similar; I have a fairy, with a dog in a tiny house they barely even use showers in the house because of the fairy house they have, I thought water was zero just because he goes out a lot as well, I don't understand what that screenshot there says but his bill was only $10 which was strange, I can't pay rent either and the landlord does not seem happy. I called him over to see if I could just pay him right then and there I can't do that either.

Vanilla test game. No mods. No CC. Playing (as Tenants) two very simple rental units I built myself. Star Rating is four. Default Landlord.

Paid the bills on Monday. Got a warning about not paying rent on Wednesday: "You have 24 hours to pay your rent before it's officially considered overdue. Pay it as soon as possible to avoid any repercussions!"

On Thursday the rent was overdue:  "You are now overdue on your rent! Your unit rating has gone down. The Property Owner may come by to repossess your objects as payment!" 

But there's no option to pay bills on the mailbox. And anyway they were paid on Monday.

None of this is new. It's been happening for a while, but decided to test on a vanilla game while waiting for the February 3rd update.  

So far nothing has ever come of the threats. The Property Owner never comes by to repossess objects as payment. Star Rating remains at four. Bills come due again on Monday. I pay them. Sometimes the cycle begins  again. Sometimes it stops. I usually just ignore it. 

It seems to be effected by playing rotationally.  But...🤷‍♀️ Don't know.

It's Monday. Bills have arrived. The amounts make no sense. The lease is 233 per day. Weekly rent is being charged at 233 per week.

So of course, the Rent is always in arrears. But there's no way to fix that.

It's still a major issue that, whilst playing as a tenant, you can't pay your rent! It's completely ruining the game. This pack has been out for a while, the bug has been mentioned a lot and it's still not fixed. 

For a life simulation game this is the most unrealistic part 😭
