Freelancer Career: List of gigs empty

My sim is in the freelance crafting career, and I was able to complete 1 gig before the panel went completely blank. Here's what I've done so far:

  1. 50/50'd my mods folder + completely removed my mods (which are updated)
  2. tried to reset debug reset my sim
  3. deleted the localthumbcache file

nothing has worked so far. I've run into this issue previously, but nothing seemed to have fixed it other than a patch update

    Hi, so update:
    I followed the directions in that thread, didn't solve my issue. I ended up repairing my game and then deleting the Sims 4 folder so the game generated a new one, and that seemed to have solved my issue.

    My sim began a freelancer programming job but when he searches for gigs the action stops and nothing happens.

    Well, I restarted my game (closed EA) and my sim did get his list of gigs.
