[IL] Sims don't use beach ladder

when i sent my sim to climb down the ladder, cannonball, or swan dive, i expect them to climb down. weirdly, they take the other path, and out the front door to the beach and not climbing down the ladder. sometimes they would even randomly go in and out and in and out and so on... like wander around in a loop when asked to climb down the ladder. not as game-breaking, but a funny glitch i would like to report. i don't know if its a bug or just a funny thing in the game.

    Could you please provide the following information

    • Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.
    • What platform are you playing ?
    • Did you test multiple houses or just this particular one ?

    My sim will enter the ocean via the ladder vicinity next to it by jumping or cannonballing into the water but never use it to get out of the water. I've highlighted the route they take to get out of the sea and back to land in this pic. As you can see the ladder is right there but they always choose the long way round to get back on land. 

    On ps4 no mods etc, I don't have any other saves or families apart from this one to test. My adult sim is a mermaid and there are four child sims in this household too and they all use the ladder to enter the sea but never to get out of the sea, they all take this route and it happens no matter where I place the ladder.
