Me too! I was able to save three lots to my gallery, then the timed-out error popped up for the first time. For that build, I was still able to save it after a minute, but waiting doesn't work anymore. I've been trying to save a lot for about five to ten minutes, no luck. My internet connection is fine. These gallery errors are really getting on my nerves, since I'm trying to migrate my builds to a new savefile. I REALLY don't want to start my build savefile from scratch; I've been working on it for over a year! (The error doesn't only pop up in the old savefile, but in my brandnew savefile, too)
