Game doesn't launch unless I launch another game b4 it

Every few weeks i will try to launch the sims and it will say loading took to long and close. I usually check for updates for my other games b4 launching anything so the system will process all the DLC. Yesterday i tried to open sims and got the loading message so i closed the game and launched Baldur's Gate 3 once i got to the menu i closed it and tried to launch sims again and it loaded no problem. This has been happening off and on for months now. I play on an Xbox Series S and Ik its not bc of my internet.
