First I couldn't click on anything once I opened the child's simology panel, I couldn't scroll down on it which was the first thing I noticed was broken, then I couldn't open her inventory, switch to build mode of even save the game. After a restart the same thing happened so I restarted again and didn't go near her simology panel. However, I then was unable to get an adult sim to cook a cake, no options came up after clicking 'cook'. I tried to leave the world and go back in but it didn't work, and then the screen went black although the time was still ticking on. Please fix this ASAP as it's not playable! I have never played with mods or CC.

I just updated my game and everything was working fine until my male sim proposed to his girlfriend.
The game became unplayable, I could not open the simology panel, or anything else. I had to end task from task manager because I could not click on the menu to exit the game.
I am experiencing something similar, I cannot save or travel because even after waiting over an hour "game loading is in progress". The game is unplayable.
I have the same issue teen/child panel broken can’t save get stuck in build mode i doesn’t seam to happen with new saves
but I’m not loosing years of gameplay this is the worst I’ve seen the game is broken
oh my goodness same, my sims won't even do any interactions. I thought it was my mods.
Im having the same issue, I logged in and noticed that all the buttons were mixed up and the calendar was also having issues. When I tried to open the build mode it completely glitched and same thing with the gallery.
The new update like most of us on here have broken our game for the millionth time.
When I log in everything works as normal, I load into a saved game and all that loads on my sims panel is their needs. When I click through all options on the simology panel for my Young Adult sim I am able to see all of their personality/traits/experiences and the new romance section and their needs but nothing else. For my child sim I can only see their needs nothing else.
I cannot click on the dot menu to save either - I have done the recommended fixes, I do not have mods installed, and the game is up to date. --- The game DID work after the first initial update yesterday (23rd), I was able to build play a little and save. When I came back to the game later that day, my game updated again (2nd update) and this was the one that broke the game.
Same problem over here, except CAS also won't load for me. Game refuses to leave the loading screen, and I've tried starting a new world by clicking "new game", and it just sits on a white screen. I've cleared cache and repaired the app (multiple times), still nothing. Game won't even exit out from the taskbar, I've had to go to taskmanager to close it. Even had to restart my laptop multiple times over just to test if it would work then - nothing.
Bad update.
My game doesn't work properly anymore after the update. When I speed up time it breaks and doesn't continue at all. It's very laggy and takes a while to respond to actions that I want to click on.
I am also unable to play my game. I do not report things often but my game is super bugged. I can’t pull up the menu to exit game. My simology panel is tweakin’. The tasks I’m asking my sims to do just don’t work. I’ve been able to enter build mode but it wouldn’t let me leave it without force closing my game. I could also shift click to edit in CAS. The “copy paste feature is nice” but I can’t play my game. I haven’t had the opportunity to try anything else.
I have the same issue!! With everything that all of you are describing. Can´t click for the inventory, if I go in to build mode I can´t get back to live mode. I can´t see the traits and all the life skills that are showing have arrows flashing all at the same time. I also can´t go into game options or exit the game.
