Hi there! Same issue there! My sim goes to the audition, go back home, no notifications, and it doesn't allow her to go to the next step; it is stuck. :(
The audition pass generates a lastexception. My solution to the bug is to save, exit and resume. After doing so the tasks for and time of the gig are updated.
