I can confirm the issue is happening in my game with the dust bunnies. Items can't be sold in the inventory. When I tried to sell the items on the sales table, the Sim doesn't get paid. The only option is for the Sim to put the objects into the build mode inventory, place them on the lot, and then place the objects in the Sim's or sales table inventory.
