I'm no longer able too plan stay overs since the recent update. It rarely let's me create the event, and when it does the sims I have invited never come to my lot. I get the pop up for the stay over ...

I just discovered I'm having an issue with creating Stay Overs, too. I can create the event in the calendar and set the time, but the event never happens, the Sim I invited never shows up, although the calendar says the event is in progress and the "plan stay over" command is grayed out on the Sim I invited if I encounter that Sim elsewhere, with a tool tip that says the event is going on so I can't invite her again. I don't use mods or CC.

This one might be handled deeper than I know how ot dig into, but looking at the general tuning surrounding it it all seems correct and it uses the normal stayover which does work when forced with commands. I would assume it's a calendar related issue but that doesnt make sense if the game still thinks the event is happening. odd
