[GRO] Guests don't sleep

Stay-over guests NEVER sleep in a bed when invited for a stay-over. They will help clean up, relax, interact with other sims, and eat, but I never see them sleep in their assigned bed... or shower.

I have assigned all guests an accessible bed-- the Murphy Bed from Tiny Living, and the bed is open and unobstructed. There is also a spare unassigned bed available in another part of the house. Still, the guests will not sleep on it, and never attempt to put down sleeping bags (there is enough space for sleeping bags to be put down. My Sims live in a partially furnished mansion with ample unused space at the moment).

On occasion, I've seen them nap on a bench somewhere on the lot, but even that is far and few between. I think I may have seen that before I assigned them a bed. I've also never seen the guests sleep on a couch. What is going on? Can anyone help?

I have every DLC, except for Businesses and Hobbies, Business Chic Kit, Refined Living Room Kit, Casanova Cave Kit, Sweet Slumber Party Kit, Riviera Retreat Kit, Urban Homage Kit, Party Essentials Kit, and Castle Estate Kit.

This has been in the game for a very long time (for me). The guests will sleep, but very rarely, and only for an hour or so.

I had to resort to using a mod, "LittleMsSam_SendToBed". It implements a menu option for beds that lets you send guests to that bed and have them sleep in it. It hasn't been as effective lately as it used to be, as guests will often get up again after 2 or 3 hours, which wasn't the case originally. However, this is better than having your guests up all night baking White Cakes until there is no more place to put them.

  • It is quite annoying they're staying up all night. It would be great if they could actually sleep. It's been going on for quite a while, if not even since the early days of Growing Together. It would be great to see this fixed.

  • Voted ✅

Since I can remember, since the very first time I had a stay over event the guests never slept in bed. I had 2 different outcomes.

    1. The guests would leave the house during the day like they had jobs and would come back later.
    2. The guests would sit on a couch or a chair and just idle while the rest of the household slept. I had assigned beds in both cases.

I have 2 games, one on an old laptop thats updated and one not updated on my desktop. In the not updated one I can assign beds to stay over guests and they sleep there. In the updated one you can't do that, so they sleep where ever for a short time sometimes. That's it.  Kinda defeats staying over

  • In my game they just stand around staring doing absolutely nothing. I’ll try to interact with them, but they immediately cancel. I haven’t gotten this feature to work properly since may 2023.
