If an infant's caregiver chooses to give the infant finger food on the high chair, but something interrupts them after the finger food is placed on the high chair and the infant placed in the high chair, but before the caregiver gives the first bite, the infant won't eat the finger food (and can't be directed to eat it) even if they love that finger food. Nor can the caregiver give the first bite after being interrupted.
