I too keep having issues with the baby play mat... at first I thought it was because of my mods, but after playing without mods/cc for awhile I noticed it happened too, so there definitely is a bug/glitch going on
I really hope this gets fixed soon... it makes this part of the game practically unplayable, and it's such a shame, because the infant stage is so much fun in Sims 4!
