[GRO] Infant/Toddler wont achieve milestones

I’m having this problem, too! My infant achieved many milestones the first day but ever since it’s been broken.

Same. When I first start playing it works but 10 minutes in it’ll stop

I have several saves and all of them have the same problem. The milestones for infant wasn’t updating. I heard the bell/music, saw the glow around the infant, had the parents “Watch Milestones”, but it didn’t show on the milestones tab. Anyone experiencing the same problem? Do you have an alternative way to fix this? Or has anyone found where the problem is?

I also have that problem too. Please vote for this problem hopefully we can make this part of the hotfix or the next laundry list.

Now that I have played for a few more hours, I can say that this bug (if it's the same bug) is expressing itself in two different ways:

• Version 1: "Achieving milestone" action progresses in queue, pop-up appears, and child performs an appropriate movement/animation (sitting up, rolling over onto back, etc). Purple popup DOES appear in notifications... but milestone does not appear in Sim panel. May repeat several times over in-game hours in response to relevant actions (e.g. babbling, playing with toy, whatever).
• Version 2: "Achieving milestone" action appears in queue and begins to progress, and sims nearby react appropriately (taking photograph, autonomously watching, et cetera). However, despite baby beginning to move/sparkle, "achieving milestone" drops from queue and nothing happens. May repeat several times over in-game hours (this is really disruptive because everyone drops everything to watch the milestone not happen a bunch of times and stands around overly long while the animation fails to complete)

Both of these are fixed by moving the entire family out and then moving them back in. Removing the baby from the household and re-adding them definitely did not fix "version 2" but I haven't tried it with "version 1." 

I am just moving my family out and back in every time they leave the lot now to pre-empt this issue. Hilariously, this starts the welcome wagon every day so the toddlers are raised entirely on fruitcake and have a permanent sugar moodlet...

I'm having issues with toddler motor milestones. They are maxed motor and do not have the last 2 milestones. When they aged up they already had some motor skill so I think that is why, but I don't want to cheat the skill back down again as I'm trying to do trophies and my super SIM challenge - is there a way past this 

Hi, so I noticed recently when playing with infants  that the milestones aren't working very well, if you close and reopen the game they will work for a little bit but then break again, the infants will sparkle as if they are about to get the milestone, the parent will also get a cued action saying watch infant milestone, but then nothing happens, there’s no pop up saying they reached it and there’s no milestone in the milestones page. I hope that they fix this very soon as it is becoming very annoying to play with.

I have the same issue. For those experiencing this, I've found that - at least in my game - they generally stop achieving milestones if I travel to a lot outside my home lot and come back. Workaround is to change to a different active household real quick when your sim comes back home from "traveling" and then come back to the original active household. Then the infant will achieve milestones until you decide to travel again. Super annoying (and incredibly insane that this doesn't have a fix after 6+ months....but that's how the Sims team operates I guess...), but hope this helps folks.

I haven't read all of this thread because it takes too long to infinitely load all of them but I had an issue where my infant sim had the "sit up" milestone register basically every time she did tummy time over the course of three hours, but the milestone never registered in her sim panel and she was not eligible for interactions like sitting in the high chair. 

It was weird, because the blanket would disappear and she would be visibly sitting up, but the interactions available with her were all ones related to tummy time and not e.g. "practice standing" or even crawling. If an adult sim picked her up and put her back down again, it would be as if she had reverted and could no longer sit up. I moved out the entire household and moved them back in, and that seemed to fix it; she got the milestone and it registered the next time she tried tummy time.

I didn't try it without my script mods, but all I have installed is MCCC and a couple of very light introspection mods for reading out values (basically I just play basegame but use mods to try and figure out what's wrong in cases exactly like this lol).
