[GRO] Stay-Over Calls Never Happen

Sadly the issue applies to the casual stayover calls as well, the "tutorial" ones are in the same "bucket" as the normal ones from relatives/friends, so this is not the case that it's not meant to happen more than once by design. It's just overtuned with its cooldowns.

That makes perfect sense, but it’s a shame there aren’t more stay over spontaneous invitations — I mean, with HSY the relationship proposals are very common, so it’s no wonder players expect other propositions to occur more than once. 

I don't get stay-over calls or invites at all. It's a shame this feature is broken.

It's such a bummer this doesn't work the way I think it should. It would be nice to have grandparents call and ask to come stay over and help take care of the little ones but it just stops working after a certain amount of time.

In my current save I had it happen right away. Loaded the game up and when Growing Together came out my Sims parents called to say they wanted to come over and help out with the little ones. My household didn't have little ones but I was excited to see the call none the less.

After that I never received a call from anyone asking to stay over. Even though it's a setting in options no one calls for those kinds of invites in existing saves at least.

There are a number of distinct stayover calls with specific reasons for existing- it's absolutely not an introductory system. Kyle's is, maybe. But there are, by design, autonomously-occuring stayovers meant to happen at "random". There is one for parents helping with a new baby, one for grandparents visiting, one for a family member needing a place to stay for a while, one for family simply visiting, one for family that don't get along with you visiting, and a few others. None of them currently work correctly.

Still no calls happening as of 6/3/2025.  I'm really surprised this issue doesn't have more votes.

Yeah I get the same thing, I have a long term save and I never get stay over calls anymore :(

Found this thread and am lightly bumping it as  I haven't seen any of these calls since 2023 in my long-term save. :)
