When you place a Grimy TImes Crime Map board on a lot, it causes the detective interactions Browse Police Database, File Paperwork, and Get Case Assignment to appear on computers for all sims on any lot.
This is because those interactions test for the board, not the lot or the career.
It's a really nice board, and there's nothing else like it in the catalogue that I know of, but it's a bit annoying to use with those interactions appearing everywhere.
I have a fix for this here that adds a career test, so at least it'll only show up for sims who might be interested.
