I have just returned in The Sims 4 and retail stores are my primarily game play. Unfortunately I am receiving the same issue. Nobody buys in the Lice Cold Freezer which is my commonly used item in the retail store. I hope that a fix can come into this. Its hard to play and setup grocery stores with a game breaking bug as one of the selling points of get to work is retail, yet we cant use these freezers in the game due to bugs.
Just want to report something. I tried to play again and noticed that when Child Sims buy something to the freezer, the money counts as purchased. This issue seems to be affecting only teens and older sims.
