[HCHSP] Market Magnate: Can't 'Convince to Buy' during Food Sale

The “Convince customers to buy something five times during a food sale” task from the Market Magnate aspiration will not complete.  My sim has maxed cooking & charisma skills, but the “convince to buy” interaction is never successful.  I have tried using different foods, setting different prices, and selling at different locations, but nothing seems to work.  The task is still at 0/5.  I play on PC & I have never used mods.

  • Issue Description:
When running a food stand from the Home Chef Hustle stuff pack, the “Convince to Buy” social interaction always fails. This occurs regardless of whether the Sim has the Market Magnate aspiration and regardless of the Sim’s skill levels (Cooking, Charisma, etc.). The interaction never successfully convinces a customer to make a purchase.

    Expected Behavior:
The “Convince to Buy” interaction should have a chance to succeed based on the Sim’s charisma, relationship with the customer, food quality, and other factors. It should be a usable tool for completing the Market Magnate aspiration’s requirement to “Convince 5 Sims to buy something from your stall.”

    Steps to Reproduce:

    1. Own and place a food stand from Home Chef Hustle.
    2. Stock the stand with food items.
    3. Begin a food sale (open the stand for business).
    4. Wait for a customer NPC Sim to approach.
    5. Select the “Convince to Buy” interaction on the customer.
    6. Observe the result. Repeat on multiple customers, across multiple sale sessions.

    Actual Result:
The “Convince to Buy” interaction fails every time. The customer may:

    • Walk away immediately after the interaction ends,
    • Refuse to purchase the item,
    • Or the interaction simply has no effect.

Success rate is 0% regardless of:

    • Sim’s Charisma skill level (including level 6+),
    • Food quality (including “Excellent” quality),
    • Cooking skill level,
    • Whether the Market Magnate aspiration is active or not.
  • The same issue, exactly as written, is happening to me too... Even if a sim buys something (impossible to tell if this is the result of my sim's convincing or not, since the Convince option doesn't visually succeed and doesn't go on cooldown), the aspiration fails to update.
