Issue Description:
When a Sim is running a food sale using the food stand from Home Chef Hustle, NPC customers will autonomously use other cooking appliances on the lot — specifically the waffle maker and/or pizza oven — instead of purchasing food from the stand. This occurs regardless of whether the food sale is taking place at the Sim’s home lot or at a venue.
Expected Behavior:
NPCs attending a food sale should interact with the food stand as customers (browsing, buying, reacting to food quality) and should not use other appliances on the lot unless specifically directed by the player. Using appliances distracts from the intended food sale gameplay and can block the player’s Sim from cooking food or making sales.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Place a food stand (Home Chef Hustle) on a lot (either residenial or venue).
- Also place a waffle maker and/or a pizza oven.
- Have a Sim start a food sale.
- Wait for NPC customers to arrive.
- Observe NPC behavior.
Actual Result:
NPCs ignore or partially ignore the food stand and instead walk to the waffle maker or pizza oven, autonomously interacting with them (e.g., making waffles or pizza). They may:
- Spend time cooking instead of buying from the stand,
- Cause clutter or unfinished food.
- Cause fires.
Additional Notes:
- Appears to be pack-specific to Home Chef Hustle — likely a general autonomy routing issue where NPCs prioritize interactive appliances over the food stand.
- Occurs on both residential lots and venue lots.
- More noticeable if the waffle maker or pizza oven is placed near the food stand.
- Workaround: Temporarily put waffle maker/pizza oven into household inventory or build mode during food sales.
- Doesn't matter if the Foodies Unite N.A.P. is active but the N.A.P. seems to make it worse.
Impact:
Breaks the food sale gameplay loop. NPCs become an annoyance, reducing sales, blocking appliance use, and frustrating players trying to run a functional food business.
